WEEK OF COMPASSION HYGIENE KITS FOR DISASTER VICTIMS

Week of Compassion (WofC) is the relief, refugee and development mission fund of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).  WofC works with several ecumenical partners here in the U.S. and abroad to respond to immediate and emerging needs of disaster victims.  As hurricane season approaches in the U.S., the FCC Missions Team is asking people to buy and assemble hygiene kits that can be used by hurricane victims often left without a home or any supplies.  Please bring kits to the church on Sunday mornings or to the church office during regular office hours, Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. by Sunday, May 29.  Items requested for each kit, placed in a standard, one-gallon zip-lock bag, are:

One hand towel (15”x28” to 16” to 32” – no fingertip, bath, dish towel or microfiber)

One washcloth

One wide-toothed comb, removed from package

One fingernail or toenail clipper, removed from package

One bath-sized bar of soap (original package)

Ten standard-sized band-aids.

THANK YOU for helping people experiencing a crisis and in need of basic supplies.
