Dedicated to Sharing God’s Love

Our Missions Committee seeks to provide opportunities and encouragement for each person associated with First Christian Church to find ways to share God’s overwhelming love we have received with others.

We have been honored to participate in God’s action of healing and hope in a number of ways. We are seeking understanding and openness to God’s call into the future…

Hands-On Missions

First Christian Church congregational members are individually already serving others in many, incredibly diverse and personal ways.

Missions is actively seeking new members to work with us, inspire and lead in response to God’s call. Maybe it is the nudge you’ve been feeling….
We’d love to hear from you!

Partnerships That Bring Blessings

As a congregation and church family,  we have established programs unique to First Christian, as well as getting involved in local, national and global causes.

In addition to the missions below, our congregation frequently raises funds for international projects such as disaster relief and other global emergencies.

First Christian is continuously working to support our Montagnard members’ successful integration into the mainstream US. This support has included informal tutoring for school-age children, Bible Study in remedial English, support for Habitat Homes built for and by members, and assistance with forms and red-tape for our families struggling with both the English language and our societal systems like the educational system necessary for survival here in the USA.

First Christian Church leaders are also offering support and advocacy on a national level to Montagnard families and relatives of our members who are still in Vietnam facing beatings, imprisonment, and multiple losses including loss of their land needed for survival, all for simply trying to gather to worship God.
